Crane fly larvae and grubs are a thick treat for trout. Grubs are commonly found under rocks and in sedimentary layers of the stream bed. This fly features a squishy, rubbery grub body on a barbless hook, which is perfect as an attractor pattern.

So far, I've only used these for panfish, but they take them ferociously! I'll surely be buying more after I lose a few on wood & rocks. Highly recommended!
Just what I was looking for. Great quality. I plan to use for panfish and nymphing. Well packaged and quickly delivered on time. I was also happy with the price,
Thank you
Jerry
This 'fly' sits in my box between whitefish egg patterns, mop flies, green weenies, and squirmy wormies. The rubber is very soft like a squirmy, but is a very convincing replica of a wood grub.
If you have a log float for a mill near you, I would bet you could kill it with one of these babies.
I’m ordering more of these because they’re causing instant bites when I use these! I’ve lost a few to the river and I’m down to my last one. These are awesome.
