There is no color that’s more overlooked than blue. While true, there aren’t many insects that carry this hue with them on their natural gamut of colors, trout don’t seem to mind one bit! The blue poison emits a glow in the water that must drive trout mad with excitement. Fish this one as the middle fly in a three nymph rig. It carries a little weight to continue getting that rig down, but not so much that it sinks unnaturally fast in its middle spot. Letting it play a bit in the water column will sometimes make it imitate an emerging bug.
