Candy Egg Jig

Just ordered some egg patterns. Have not fished them yet but I can say that they are really good quality.. Look forward to fishing a fly that is not going to fall apart after a few casts.

Candy egg salmon color can't be beat . Seven other people fishing around me with different wet dry flies. I'm the only one catching fish. It really blows my mind how fast once it hits the water that I have a fish on the line. I would recommend all fly fisherman to carry a couple of these in their Arsenal !!!

Good egg pattern EN jigs are hard to design and make. The problem is these are so small that it's hard to keep the "fuzz" out of the hook gap which keeps you from hooking up with the fish effectively. These are well designed otherwise but could be made with a hook using a larger gap per the relative size number of the hook and also trimmed so the gap has less mass of the fuzz in it. I will trim these down a little before trying them out. Otherwise they look really good!

Took apricot and pink to the Animas. 1 hour and 11 fish later I had to quit and head home to ice my arm from all the work. Best winter trout pattern I have used.
