Description

The RS2 Emerger is an extremely versatile emerger fly. It’s slim profile and natural body tones allow this pattern to imitate small midge larvae and mayfly nymphs. We love to couple this with the Blue Winged Olive Parachute and Blue Winged Olive by dropping it off the back with a short tag end. You can also add this fly into a multi-fly rig by tying it in as the last fly so that it can swing freely or at the top for fishing higher up in the water column.

RS2 & Zibra midge

Have not fished since receiving the rs2 and zibra midge but have ordered more assortment patterns thanks for the discount coupon and members free shipping. Just waiting for the double sided fly box ( out of stock) to put them in. The flys are very well made and I am anxious to get on the water

Great Baetis Pattern

I am impressed with both The Fly Crate and the RS2.
The Fly Crate educates all levels of fly fishing experience, has a great selection of flies, is well-priced, and has quick delivery.
Regarding the RS2, I've only started using it early fall this year. It has been highly successful during the fall baetis season. I use it as the anchor of
a three-fly rig - the strikes come during and at the end of the swing. Raising the rod tip a couple of times at the end of the swing is helpful too.

Interesting take on the RS2

I am from Colorado where the RS2 was created. We fish these flies here like religion. This fly is not a perfect version of the RS2 like the Umpqua. However, it is a fly worthy of its name.
