Description

This micro bugger was inspired by competition fly anglers that used small, heavily weighted streamers to jig across deep pools and pockets. Surprisingly, these flies are incredibly effective when dead drifted or euro-nymphed through runs. The heavy tungsten bead coupled with the simple profile allows this streamer to dive fast and get keep into the feeding zones. Its flashy body grabs attention as it reflects sunlight deep in pockets of water while the marabou tail sparks movement. This is one micro streamer we love to use as an anchor fly within our nymphing rigs or jigging across the stream to large trout.

Drift this mini streamer under an indicator or strip slowly as you would with other streamers. Tungsten beads are highly sought after for nymphing enthusiasts for it’s heavier weight and ability to drive nymphs down to the bottom quickly. Coupled with the barbless jig hook, these tungsten beaded flies are a deadly fly combo.

Good Small Streamer

Used this in black color. Threw it on a creek that was high and tainted from heavy rains. Caught 5 rainbows in less than an hour including this 15!incher! Lots of action on the tail, seems like the marabou tail is softer then regular wooly buggers I have used which makes for more movement. Another winner from the fly crate!

Tan fly doesn't match photo

Ordered tan, got light pink. Looks like a decent fly though.

Prompt and accurate

This was my first order from FlyCrate. I was impressed with the speed of delivery and quality of the flies. They were also very reasonably priced. Will order again.
