A simple but, yet, effective emerger fly pattern that imitates a vast variety of mayflies and midges.
- Additional information
Mercury Baetis nymphs are a light pattern used to drift near the surface when trout are ignoring dry flies and are focusing on emerging nymphs just below. The sparkle bead adds just enough flash and imitates the gases that build up within the emerging nymphs’ shucks, which helps them ascend to the surface. Couple this with the Blue Winged Olive Parachute and Blue Winged Olive for a macho selection. When it comes to selective trout, it helps to cover the whole spectrum of the Baetis cycle.
